THE COMPETITION RULES OF THE CONTEST “GIFTS OF THE YEAR”
The organizer of the contest “GIFTS OF THE YEAR” 2013 is a publisher of the branch magazine for promotional gifts industry “Gifts Journal” and the organizer of the European Days of Promotional Gifts RemaDays Days Europe 2013, the company GJC Inter Media.
The title “GIFT OF THE YEAR 2013” will be awarded in seven categories:
1. Mass product – worth up to 1.50 EUR
2. Impulse product – up to 5 EUR
3. Brand supporting products – up to 25 EUR.
4. Promotional products – up to 50 EUR
5. Premium products – up to 150 EUR.
6. Products de Luxe – above 150 EUR.
7. Top Design products – it is the creativity of the design that counts.
In each category 3 prizes will be awarded (for the 1st, 2nd , and 3rd place) and 3 other products will be honoured (4th, 5th, 6th place).
I place – the product with the largest total number of votes received, including the first and second stage of voting.
II place – the product with the second-largest total number of votes received, including the first and second stage of voting.
III place – the third product in order with the largest total number of votes received, including the first and second stage of voting.
IV place – the fourth product in order with the largest total number of votes received, including the first and second stage of voting.
V place – the fifth product in order with the largest total number of votes received, including the first and second stage of voting
VI place – the sixth product in the order of the largest total number of votes received, including the first and second stage of voting.
Information on the contest winners will appear in the magazines “Gifts Journal” and “Gifts Journal Business”. It will be also distributed in the branch of advertising industry through the newsletter sent to about 23 000 companies and with the support of media partners. The contest results will be published online on the website www.remadays-europe.com and www.giftsjournal.pl.
Competition entries will be accepted from 5th November 2011 to 19th Dezember 2012.
Entitled to apply for the contest are the exhibitors of the RemaDays Europe 2013. Non-exhibitors can submit their apllications against a fee of 25 EUR for each product submitted.
Everyone entitled to participate in the contest may submit any number of products in each category via www.remadays-europe.com. The first three items reported by an exhibitor are free of charge. Submission of 4th and following products is possible against a fee of 25 EUR netto for each additional item.
Logo placement is not allowed in the pictures of products submitted for the competition.
Product submission will be available on the website www.remadays-europe.com through an online application form.
The online application form for the product submission includes the following required fields:
– product name
– description of the product (up to 500 characters, no information about the manufacturer or company name)
– product image (no logos allowed)
– full company name and city
– name of the person authorized to submit the products to the competition
– telephone and e-mail to the person entitled to submit products to the competition
During the voting only data such as name, description and picture of the product will be displayed in the gallery on the website. Information on the company will not be posted.
List of products submitted for the competition will be published on the website www.remadays-europe.com on 16th December 2012. Any information on the contest will give people for this purpose, set out on page www.remadays-europe.com.
VOTING – I STAGE
Voting will take place from 20 December 2012 to 27 December 2012 to 12:00.
Voting will be possible via www.remadays-europe.com.
Representatives of the companies registered in the database of the organizer may cast a vote. They will be informed on the contest and rules electronically, in newsletters, e-mails sent to the entire database of the organizer and media partners.
Each entitled person may cast a vote for any number of products from the list of the competition.
10 finalists from each product category, that received the biggest number of votes by Internet users, will be selected for the second stage of competition.
The results of the voting will be published on the website www.remadays-europe.com on 2 January 2013.
Companies, whose products get qualified for the finals, will be informed on the results of the competition by e-mail and telephone between 27 and 30 Dezember 2012. The organizer will also informs about the delivery of products qualified for the final competition to the RemaDays Europe 2013 in Nuremberg, Hall 1, in order to place products in display cases for the second contest stage.
The finialist will be presented in designated display cases.
VOTING – PHASE II
Voting will run simulaneously online at www.remadays-europe.com from 2 January 2013 to 8 January 2013 until 12:00, and at the Fair in hall 1 on paper forms from 7th to 8th January 2013 12 pm.
Visitors to the fair and online voter may cast as many votes on any products from the list of products qualified for the finals.
The finale will take place on 8th January 2013.
COLLECTION OF THE PRODUCTS
The products can be collected by the owners on 9th January 2013 till 3pm. Products will be available after the awards ceremony.
